Thinking of You Card

By Nancy Taylor for Hero Arts

The Hero Arts Website is a great resource for stamping techniques and ideas. Here is a beautiful card to recreate.  Remember, you don't need to use the exact stamps or inks or papers, you can substitute other ones, this is for the idea and technique.

Thinking of You
Using 3 colors of green ink gives this card depth without a lot of effort. The tiny slice of blue paper around the edge coordinates with the blue in the flower accent.

Instructions:

  1. Trim a piece of Celadon paper to fit the front of a Pine notecard. Stamp a corner of ferns in 3 colors of green ink. Stamp the message in black ink to the side of the ferns.
  2. Cut a piece of blue paper to fit under the stamped ferns and trim to fit, leaving a narrow border of color.
  3. Punch holes in the flower and draw the cord through the flower and around the blue paper and secure with a bow in the center of the flower. Add gems.

Tip: Use different colors of green ink to create a dimensional background.
